More specifically, he claims that using his proven 3-step cryptocurrency script, it is possible to make your retirement money or even become a millionaire in a few months or years using his methods, while taking advantage of the market.
This seems like an outlandish statement for anyone to make, when you consider that even after 30+ years off savings, investments in 401ks and Roth IRAs, most working Americans have far less than $100k saved up. But he claims he’s taught, seen and even watched his team replicate these results using his formula.
Who is James Altucher and Why Should You Listen to Him?
Before we move on to what we think about this course, you should know a few things about the author, James Altucher.
He’s a former Wall Street venture capitalist who has written 15 books, directly invested in tens of companies at the early stage–one of them now worth a billion dollar,- invested in Facebook at the early stage, early adopter and tech trend spotting maverick, and runs one of the world’s most successful podcasts –The James Altucher Show.
He was also the first prominent venture capitalist to publicly declare that Facebook will be valued at over $100 billion. Now, he’s also the first to say that he’s lost money more times than he can count, so he’s not always right on his predictions.
So, what gives him the pedigree? Well, James claims he’s familiar with where the “smart money” is going. He claims that more venture capitalists, hedge fund managers and renowned investment companies are getting into the crypto market.
And given his “connects” on Wall Street and the finance industry as a whole, as well as the SEC’s approval of some cryptocurrencies, he just might be on to something.

Make no mistake, while these two courses are initially presented as standalone courses, they are actually part of the bonus for his Altucher Report newsletter. This is the newsletter where he shares stock picks, and now cryptocurrency picks every month with his subscribers.
Bottom line, you’ll only get them if you buy the report which is priced at $47 for 1 year.
James claims that there’s going to be an “event” on the 26th of Oct, 2017, that will change the face of finance forever. This event, according to him, will completely blow up the cryptocurrency landscape, skyrocketing lower priced cryptos and increasing their values. As a result, people who invest in some of the picks he’ll be recommending will be positioning themselves to make a lot of money –retirement money as he calls it.
Now, there’s nothing concrete about this “event”, although he hinted that it might have something to do with Amazon accepting bitcoins. If this is true, then it will indeed change the financial landscape forever. Right now, it’s all speculation. Besides, given Jeff Bezos’ well known stance on the non-acceptance of bitcoins, we’re not sure that this will happen.
To prove this, the Washington Post still published a post in 2016 titled “RIP Bitcoin, It’s Time to Move On”. Since the Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos, and he has publicly declared his opposition of bitcoin, this might be somewhat farfetched.
But then, you never know with tech companies. Companies and the individuals who run them often completely do 180 degree turnarounds on their previous stances in the tech sector. For example, Facebook’s and Instagram’s initial policy of not generating revenue from ads and their subsequent about face.
